MediaLifTV has put together a core team of passionate specialists, each with their own area of expertise ranging from tinkerers, engineers, designers, writers, financial experts and warehouse specialists who share the passion to create a superior product that enhances the changing ways we live, work and play.

Meet The Team:

Liz Carr
Chief Creative Officer

It was Liz Carr’s idea to design an outdoor TV that grew into our company, MediaLifTV. Each working day – and they’re all working days – Liz brings her unique blend of highly refined creative skills, impeccable aesthetic sense, and a solutions-oriented, can-do attitude to MediaLifTV, which now makes her greatest passion, spending time outdoors, more enjoyable for others.

Jim Carr, Inventor
Chief Executive Officer & Chief Outdoor Officer

Jim Carr is a lifetime general contractor, having managed construction projects of up to $25 million in size that include luxury housing, office, retail space, and high quality amenities. His work, built over 25 years, spans much of Southern California. Jim’s passion for building the finest quality projects, and being responsible for the success of even the smallest details, demonstrates the temperament and focus needed to create, perfect and bring to market a unique and compelling piece of technology that’s at once functional, practical, and cool. Jim credits his wife, Liz, his wife, with the inspiration for the MediaLifTV and not surprisingly, a great many other good things.

Joe Lozowski, President and CEO, Tangram Interiors
Strategic Business Advisor

Joe Lozowski is the President and CEO of Tangram Interiors, the largest contract furniture distributor in the Western United States with annual sales exceeding $125 million, employing 250 people.

Joe also sits on the City National Bank Client Advisory Board and is a Board member of Fuji Foods the largest producer of store bought sushi. Joe began his career in Michigan where he served as Vice President and General Manager at Contract Interiors. He later founded and operated a successful Haworth dealer in the Detroit Area before moving to California in 2002.

Joe serves as Chair for Fundraising for The Academy for Orangewood Children’s Foundation. Under Joe’s leadership, Tangram and its employees actively support many charities such as KidSave, Aspira and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Jack Hooven, VP Operations, Tangram Interiors
Operations and Logistics Advisor

Jack Hooven has over 24 years experience in the contract office furniture industry, all of which has been in operations. Daily management responsibilities include overseeing a 200,000 sq. ft. warehouse, which includes a 65,000 sq/ft remanufacturing, upholstery and wood refinishing division as well as 650,000 cu/ft of bar coded asset management. He is also responsible for all shipping and receiving activities which include 38 vehicles; in addition to overseeing 14 project managers and over 150 installers. He has been responsible for installations as large as 3,300 units.

Nicholas “Nick” Greenko, Chief Financial Officer, Tangram Interiors
Business Forecast and Administration Advisor

Having 25 years of experience in managerial accounting, including 15 as a Chief Financial Officer, Nick Greenko has served as CFO of Tangram Interiors since August 2002. Previously, he has held key accounting positions in the banking, arts, municipal, logistics and contract furnishings sectors. He oversees Tangram’s Administrative Services, including Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Customer Service, Design, and Tangram Studio. In August, 2009 the Los Angeles Business Journal recognized him as “CFO of the Year” in the large private company category. Nick serves on the Board of Directors of Pacific Symphony and chairs their Strategic Planning Committee. Nick has a Master of Business Administration Degree in Corporate Finance from Adelphi University, NY, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, holds a designation as a Certified Performance Coach and speaks four languages.

Rob Ukropina, Managing Partner, Black Diamond Ventures
Strategic Finance

Rob Ukropina is the Managing Partner of Black Diamond Ventures, a venture capital firm located in Newport Beach, CA. Rob was Founder and CEO of Overnite Express, the premier west coast small package overnight delivery company, which was sold to Norco Corporation. He sits on entrepreneurial company boards including Arenda Capital, C2 Reprographics, Consumer Brands, MedMedia Healthcare Network and NEI Marine, Inc.

Rob was the keynote speaker at the Harvard Business School Annual Entrepreneur Conference; was selected by the SBA as “Small Business Person of the Year – California” and was awarded “Excellence in Entrepreneurship” by the Orange County Business Journal.

Rob is a guest lecturer at USC, UCLA, Chapman, the Entrepreneurship Institute, the Orange County Business Forum, and is a graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business.

Michael Gleason, Chief Executive Office, Consumer Brands
Web and Social Media Advisor

Michael Gleason is the CEO/Co-Founder of Consumer Brands, LLC, a developer of proprietary Internet brand assets targeting consumers. Consumer Brands specializes in the development of online healthcare assets as well as consumer products, services, and ecommerce platforms.

A graduate of the UCLA and The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with degrees in physical chemistry, he has a passion for data and analysis as it relates to predictive and behavioral marketing. Earlier companies have included start-ups in the information technology, software, and marketing industry sectors.

Jeff Volpe, President, ViewSonic Americas
Channel and Strategic Advisor

Jeff Volpe currently serves as president of ViewSonic Americas, a succesful media hardware company he has served in various roles for 18 years. In this role, Volpe has full responsibility for and oversees strategic business planning, sales and marketing, operations and logistics for the region. Jeff came to ViewSonic in January 1996 from Citizen America Corporation, where he was the Canadian regional sales manager responsible for the sales and customer management of computer printer products. Prior to that, he was manager of Indirect Sales Channels for Epson Canada Limited.
